David Duncan and his family moved to Houston in 2006, where he accepted the role of Pulpit Minister at Memorial. He previously lived in Oklahoma while serving as the Outreach Minister at the Edmond Church of Christ from 1999-2006, and as an adjunct instructor at Oklahoma Christian University.

David and his wife, Barbara, met while students at Oklahoma Christian. During their engagement, Barbara was located in Mito, Japan where she taught English as a vocational missionary. At the conclusion of her assignment, she was joined by David and the two were married in Japan!

After David completed a Master’s degree at Oklahoma Christian, he and Barbara moved to Vitoria, Brazil as part of a four-family mission team to plant a church there. Their family grew when two daughters, Anna Beth and Emma, were born while they were serving on that mission field.

Despite David's sermon preparation, Bible studies, and counseling, he is currently pursing a doctorate at Houston Graduate School of Theology. When he does have spare time, however, he loves to watch pro baseball and college football, and feels very blessed to have a wife and two daughters who love to cook!

Colin Vine is the Involvement and Congregational Care Minister and has been at Memorial since October 2002. Colin is the Administrator of the Memorial Bible Institute and the church Office Manager. He and his wife, Jennie, came to the United States from the United Kingdom, where Colin served 22 years in the Royal Air Force. He is a graduate of Heritage Christian University. If he stays on track with his studies, he will achieve his terminal degree at about age 104. The Vines have two daughters, 2 grandsons, and one granddaughter.

His favorite scripture changes frequently but can always be found somewhere between Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 22:21.

Mike Avery graduated from Abilene Christian University in May 1999 and has been the Youth and Family Minister at Memorial since he graduated.  Mike and his wonderful wife, Melissa, have two children. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends, teaching youth about Jesus, snow boarding, going to the lake, and sports of all kinds.  His favorite scripture is “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

Jennifer Reinsch is the Children's Coordinator.  She comes from the Dallas area, where, in addition to being a public school teacher, she was the Director of the Special Needs Ministry at Saturn Road Church of Christ and worked as Children's Ministry Support Staff.

Jennifer grew up in Longview, Texas and attended Pine Tree Church of Christ.  She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of North Texas and her doctorate from Michigan State University.  Jennifer also earned her certification in Early Childhood & Elementary Education, Special Education, and Music Education.

In addition to the work that Jennifer has done in Children's Ministry, she also spent time in both South America and Russia working with long-term missionary families.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading, theatre, sports (Go MAVS!), and playing with her dogs who are definitely spoiled rotten.

Jennifer's favorite Bible passage is Psalm 96:1-13.

Beth Wade

Dr. Beth Wade came to Memorial as the Counselor on staff in 1992, with years of counseling experience in helping those who wanted to consider family issues in light of Biblical teachings. She is trained in Career Counseling, Educational Assessment, Family Issues, Marriage Enrichment, Premarital Counseling, Parenting to Prevent Problems, and Planning for Life Stages. In addition, she is a popular speaker, trainer and published author.

Beth has a B. A. in Psychology from Lubbock Christian University, an M. A. in Educational Counseling and Guidance from Texas Women's University, and a Ph.D. from Columbia State University in Counseling Education.

Along with her husband, Harold, Beth has worked in various Christian schools throughout Texas. Both are Certified Marriage Enrichment Facilitators and Harold is certified by the Fathering Institute of America to teach parenting skills specific to Christian fathering. Their goal is to help couples enjoy marriage and parenting as God planned. After almost 50 years of marriage, they have a family of 26 including 14 grandchildren.

One of Beth's favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
